Overview

The Falcon’s viewport is a backlit liquid crystal display with:

• 21 characters in 8 rows on the Falcon

31X.

• 20 characters in 16 rows on Falcons

32X, 33X, and 34X.

When entering more than the maximum number of characters, the text in the

viewport will scroll to the left to display the additional characters in the line.

Moving the Viewport Display

The viewport display can be moved to the left or right by half screens to view

long lines of text.

1. To initiate panning mode, press and hold the <FN 1> key.

2. Use the cursor keys (refer to

Figure 16) to move the display up, down, to

the left, or to the right.

3. Release the

<FN 1> key to make the current cursor position visible.

• Or, press and release the

<FN 1> key to move the viewport several

times in one or more directions.

4. When finished, press and release the

<FN 1> key again to return to the

current cursor position.
