Transmission Mode Values

Values
local: Handle the specified key locally on the terminal, send (if
required, as in the case of alphanumeric characters and
symbols) when <enter> on the terminals pressed.
xmit: Transmit the key immediately to the host
lamp: Turn on the terminal’s backlight
light: Lighten the display contrast.
dark: Darken the display contrast.
noop: Don’t do anything

: Non-destructive backspace (move) to the left of the
cursor within a field (operates like a left arrow key)
edrite

: Non-destructive space (move) to the right of the cursor
within a field (operates like a left arrow key)

: Destructive backspace (move) to the left of the cursor

: Edit mode.

: Destructive space (move) to the right of the cursor
within a field, to the end of the field.
lhelp: This key, when pressed, displays the terminal ID, date,
time, and WHIP/WHAP version number.
scan: Set a key that, when pressed, triggers the scanner to

* = The cursor must be in block mode for these transmission modes to operate.
